From Carnival to Coffee

Sorry for the delay in sharing dreams because most of the time, I forget them and most of the time, they aren’t worth sharing. The dream I saw last night happened in parts and I don’t remember all of them but I will tell the ones I remember. (Maybe it was all one dream and I only remember in parts.)

PART 1:
This was an outdoor setting of some carnival event where the people gathered to hear the announcement of the lottery prize winners. In the midst of all that, I was asked to carry a mattress from the stage to a building which was supposedly a new auditorium under construction and I saw an uncle known to me on the way but he ignored me. I still carried the mattress into the building which was filled with workers, their tools and all that and so on. I walked all around inside the building to see how the work was happening and then placed the mattress at a side and then left as it was too dusty.

PART 2:
I was out of that building and the moment I came out, the outdoor setting was completely different. It turned out to be a bigger courtyard I suppose and the building I exited turned out to be a hall where the events are conducted. There weren’t much people around as it was in the beginning.

As I was walking past the courtyard, I saw someone in saree and wearing a mask walking parallel to my direction towards the hall side. She raised an eyebrow in gesture and I looked at her wondering who it could be. I half-smiled in response and also mouthed a name to see if it is her. (The one whom I think I like.)

But there wasn’t any response as her face was covered and I couldn’t make out any response from that. There were people slowly rushing towards the hall where the programme was happening and I did have a glance of my classmate from college in them. I turned to see her (not the classmate) but she wasn’t there. I looked for her in the crowd but couldn’t find her and I could only see people rushing towards the hall.

When I almost reached the other end of the courtyard or something, I stopped and turned back looking for her. There was lot of chaos, as people were lined up to enter the hall which wasn’t opened. I kept looking for her in that crowd and couldn’t find her. I felt someone was patting my back but I didn’t pay heed to it as I thought it would be people pushing while rushing towards the hall.

When the patting was a little harder, I turned to see the patting guy and was stunned. It was her! She wasn’t wearing the mask and I could see her smile. I was so happy to see her that I hugged her. She was surprised by my behaviour but didn’t resist. She was like, ‘What happened man?

I didn’t know why I hugged her at that moment. But she asked if I wanted to have tea. I asked if we could have coffee instead as we had tea the previous time. She agreed as we went out to have coffee.
