An Alarming Class Party

I met my best friend at a corner inside a mall or something waiting at the door and also carrying a shopping bag. I asked what he was doing there and what was happening inside. He held the door handle and said that is where the lights party was happening and pushes the door ajar.

I went inside what looked like the size of a classroom (Well it was an actual classroom with desks and benches along with a disco setting) and lot of nerds were dancing to the music being played. It wasn’t really much of a party song but some thrilling enough songs with everyone enjoying it. I found my way across the nerds and sat on the backbench at the corner. My friend too tried coming but he got diverted by someone known to him. 

 

It looked like the party was actually happening inside a classroom. With some disco lights; music and so on. It was dim lighting of blue overall though there were beams of different colours emitting from the disco ball. The people around were mostly in uniform and I saw my friend at the opposite side in the front talking to someone; with the shopping bag still in his hand. There were also people other than the nerds in the class party. There was a woman carrying a shopping bag who was talking to someone. Then there were two girls apparently sisters running around.

The little and the youngest one came and sat on my lap for some time and when she saw her sister, she got up and ran. After sometime, I got up and went towards my friend telling that I had to go. But he said that they were going to Pizza Hut after the party and asked me to join to which I agreed.

When the so called party came to a still, everyone were back to their desks working on their projects, assignments or studying whatsoever. Because there weren’t any places to sit, my friend and I sat at the back leaning on the window.

We waited for a while in the calm scenario where the nerds were working on their group projects or something, the blue lighting was still there with the emitting beams of different colours from the disco ball and a soothing music for everyone to relax consisting of songs and themes.

However, there was a particular music that has been repeatedly playing and I wanted to stop it. I walked around the classroom, checking under the desks to see who was playing. Everybody were using their phones and their screens show anything apart from music. The nerds were annoyed as I was disrupting their group work but I couldn’t help as I wanted to find where the music was playing repeatedly and then turn it off.

It wasn’t from any phones or any sound systems. Then where was it from?

-       - From my phone; it was my ALARM!
